AUTHENTIC WOOL ROAD JERSEY HONORING THE 1939 PHILADELPHIA STARS
History: In 1933, in the depths of the Great Depression, Ed Bolden returned to baseball with a new club: the Philadelphia Stars. He'd already built one champion from the ground up with Hilldale, and he wasted no time doing it again. Within a year, the Stars joined the Negro National League and won the pennant in their very first season. Bolden ran the club until his death in 1950, building one of the city's proudest sports institutions out of pure conviction and grit.
Made with authentic wool baseball flannel and felt appliqué lettering, this jersey replicates the road jersey for the 1939 Philadelphia Stars in honor of a powerhouse Negro League ballclub.
