History: The 1970s was a great decade for the Fighting Irish. They won the Cotton Bowl in ‘71 and took home two national championships in the ‘73 and ‘77 season, the latter of which was led by four All-Americans and a junior starting quarterback: future NFL Hall of Famer Joe Montana.
