AUTHENTIC WOOL BALLCAP HONORING THE 1966 SANKEI ATOMS

History: From 1965 to 1968, this Japan Central League team was named the Atoms, inspired by Osamu Tezuka's popular manga series Astro Boy, known as Atom Boy in Japan. Minor league veteran Dave Roberts joined the Atoms in 1967 and quickly became one of Japan's premier sluggers.  The team was renamed the Yakult Swallows in ‘74, but if you go to Meiji Jingu Stadium today for a Swallows home game you’ll still see plenty of Atoms gear in the stands.

This is a reinterpretation of the original 1966 Sankei Atoms ballcap, hand-sewn from genuine wool baseball cloth and finished with felt lettering.
