History: The 89ers were originally the top affiliate for the expansion Houston Colt .45s before stints as the affiliate for Cleveland and the Phillies. Then in 1983 they hitched their wagon to the Texas Rangers and went on to win three Division Titles and two League Titles in the American Association between 1985 and 1996. Today the team is known as the Oklahoma City Dodgers and they play their games at Chickasaw Bricktown Ballpark.
