The Story

AN EXACT REPLICA OF THE CAP WORN BY THE CHINESE ATHLETIC CLUB IN 1910

History: Much like the rest of the US, the territory of Hawaii quickly took to the game of baseball. The sport was first popularized by Japanese immigrants in the late 1800s. In Honolulu, teams were organized along ethnic lines, and the Chinese Athletic Club soon became one of the top squads in Hawaii. The team was so successful that they embarked on annual tours of the mainland, and even traveled to the Republic of China to try to popularize the game there.
