History: The Long Beach 49ers have been one of the most consistent winning teams in college baseball over the years, capturing 12 conference championships, with at least one in each decade since 1960, and multiple College World Series appearances. The team is colloquially known as the Dirt Bags, thanks to their gritty play and determination.Ā 

Led by team pitching ace Dick Nen, the Cal State Long Beach 49ers posted a winning season (20-14) in 1960. We remade their 1960s cap with genuine wool broadcloth, felt lettering, and green satin under the visor.
